Thurs. May 10, 2013 - Three Capes

Cape Lookout is one of three capes ( a point of land sticking out into a body of water ) which are landmarks and recreational destinations in the local area.  Today we were assigned three cabins to clean, and they were the ones named for the three capes:

Cape Meares to the north

 

Cape Lookout in the middle

Cape Kiwanda to the south

The sun came out this evening, so we walked to the end of the beach at the base of Cape Lookout. 

 

This is the absolute farthest we could walk at low tide.  We decided to call this spot Cape Cove. 

 

Perfectly deposited by the tide.  Looks like trash from afar, but definitely not trash:)
