Sunday, April 28, 2013 - get away day

This morning we went to the farmers market in downtown Sac under the freeway. This one was very large and truly a market for farmers - no made to order food booths or crafters.  We got some good greens, mushrooms, blueberries, cabbage, garlic.

Next, back to pack for the road and check out of CalExpo before a really good visit with dad.  He is a good looking guy and was bright eyed today. I'm sorry I did not get a picture today:(

Next, I went to Peet's Coffee to spend some time getting to know my new iPhone that Mike bought for me yesterday. My previous phone was over 2 years old, and was shorting out so I could randomly not hear the incoming caller.  Mike went to Fry's for a speaker phone and an external charger.
Finally, it was time to go. We hooked up the jeep and drove north for an overnight at Colusa Casino

Where we grilled a pork chop and had sweet corn and greens we got at farmers market this morning. 

                                          We decided to grow our own - starting with basil.
