I went from machines in the State park to machines in Thousand Trails, LV to a machine at Holley's house, so it must have been last fall since we've been to a Laundromat. They are actually pretty nice these days: hi tech machines and wifi internet to entertain during the wash cycle
We had another library session which lasted longer than it should so in a hurry, we made a bad lunch choice - we were hoping for good gyros but didn't get them. The best thing you can say about lunch was it was fast. Which was important at that point since we had just enough time to get to Gretchen's house by 5:30.
We were happy to cross the boarder between Indiana and Michigan
and stopped at the welcome center rest area - Ah Michigan sunshine!
They demonstrated great optimism for sunshine with a bank of solar panels outside,
and we got a glimpse of the first lighthouse of the trip - high and dry but a nice sight
However, we didn't factor in the one hour time change to EST, so in the end we were an our late, but that's not bad all the way from California!
We parked on the street outside Gretchen's house. She drove us to meet her son Tyler and see his new Jeep at her granddaughter Lexie's soccer game.
Then she took us on an enjoyable driving tour of the Kalamazoo, Parchment and Western Michigan University area before we stopped for dinner at the Roadhouse
a new restaurant across from our old stomping grounds WMU Bronco stadium. Good Day!
ah, can't make you out in the pic.
