Due to the prediction of rain, the camp really emptied out early last night. Who wants to pack up in the rain ( if you don't camp in Oregon and have a choice-that is)? So this morning we did a trash pick instead of painting. It wasn't a downpour, but definitely too wet to paint. Then I did laundry. Met another woman there who said she has been traveling with her husband for nine years and still loves it!
We decided to check out with ranger John tonight so we could leave earlier in the morning than we had planned with Alicia since we will not be painting. He came by our campsite and we talked for quite a while about water resource management and life.
Split pea soup for dinner and we pack up outside and in to prepare for travel tomorrow.
