Jan 31, 2013 - Day 31: Corning CA to Salem OR

Yesterday we drove from Sacramento to Corning, CA and parked in a T/A truck stop for the night. We worked for a while and drove away about 10 AM headed north with sights on Salem OR.

We stopped for lunch along the highway north of Redding with a great view of Mt Shasta.

and saw sone good scenery along the Oregon roadway

We stopped for dinner in Eugene at a mall parking lot and then went in the theatre to see Ben Affleck in ARGO. Good show. We are on a quest to see the movies awarded for best picture this year. Starting with the ones most likely to be enjoyed. So far we've see Lincoln, LesMiserables, Silver Linings Playbook, and now Argo. We enjoyed them all.

After the movie, we continued on to our destination, Salem, OR, and parked for the night in the WalMart parking lot. Very accomodating!
