May 2016 - Viaje a Mexico

After we were finished hosting at South Carlsbad State Beach, we moved the motorhome to Oceanside Elks for  couple nights and left it there in storage while we flew out of San Diegoto Cancun to see Eric and Claudia and enjoy a family wedding.

After a few days at the house in Cancun helping to attend to last minute wedding party arrangements with Claudia and her mom, Lupita, we all took a boat ride to Isla Holbox

where we stayed in an AirBNB rental on the beach for 5 nights.

The house was a great place for drop in visitors, which was good for Mike since he was not too able to get our and walk on the unpaved streets.

There was a fun Friday night dinner for all the wedding guests

The wedding was held on Saturday on a beautiful beach

  Then there was a dinner

and dance party after.

We had one day to recover and relax after the wedding

before returning to the mainland for a visit to Solferfino

 -  a small town where Eric and Clau are looking at property -

and finally back to Cancun where we celebrated "dia de las madres" with Lupita and the chicos.

The 2nd week was a family road trip vacation in a rental car with Curt, Sarah, Eri, Clau and Kelly. We visited Tulum, - the ruins

Then Bacalar, -  the lagoon

and sister Isabel's family bistro and artist studio, El Manati.

Then lastly. Playa del Carmen, - the beach, of course

and the penthouse suite at a El Lido beach hotel owned by Claudia's friend.

Sister-in law, Kelly returned to the US  after Playa del Carmen, and we went to Cancun 

and relaxed at home en la cocina

en la jardin and la palapa nueva

and la playa, por supuesto

por una semana.  Mi espanol is mejor cada dia!
