We were not quite sure what to expect when we got here - we believed there was good internet and there is. We knew there was only one camp host, but did not realize what a beautiful campground and camp host site we would get to occupy for the next 10 weeks.
Our ranger, Jacquie was out on training, so the first three days we were unassigned. We got settled into our site
with an easy but delicious pesto pasta dinner the first night.
Then drove the 15 minute trip down Hwy 267 to Kings beach and had dinner with Eric and Claudia at their house on the 2nd night. It was good to reconnect and hear about their time since we saw them last in May before we left for our trip to Michigan. Eric is working for the National Forest Service this summer and they are renting a room in a house in Kings beach from some nice young adults. They are in a good spot, too.
